2. Song of Myself
‘Song of Myself’ is a very beautiful poem, which has been composed by an American poet Walt Whitman. In this poem, he expresses the feelings of human beings.
In this poem, the poet talks about himself. He sings for himself and enjoys himself.
According to the poet, the atoms of each person’s body are related to him i.e. everyone’s body is made by same particle. The poet says that everyone is born equal. Everyone’s body is made of this soil and air. Everyone’s blood color is the same.
The poet says that we should not fall into religious beliefs. Life should be lived happily. He considers life a gift of nature and expects to be healthy till death. That’s why he always talks about being happy and keeping others happy.
Thus, the poet wants to say that there is no difference between two human beings.
